The Slippery Noodle Inn in downtown Indianapolis has long been a
favorite hangout for many.  In fact, it is the oldest functioning bar in the
city.  In a jammed to the walls blues bar, filled with all ages and types of
people, it is almost hard to imagine that this place holds a strong
reputation for being haunted.  Management have on several occasions
witnessed personally the apparition of an older African American man in
the basement, which was once a part of the famed Underground
Railroad.  Also, there have been several instances of activity reported in
the upstairs portion of the building, rumored to once exist as a brothel.
Both of these areas are normally off limits to the public, but PROOF was
lucky enough to gain after hours entry and investigate the building
throughout the night.
Setup was quickly completed and the night got underway.  Night vision
cameras were mounted all over the building, attached to our DVR.  Audio
recordings were almost constantly taken, as well as measurements of the
building's temperature and electromagnetic field.  Sadly, nothing was to
be found on this night, although a good scare was to be found as we
came across the life-size statues of Jake and Elwood Blues upstairs in
the total darkness!  Overall, this was an investigation we would definitely
like to continue.  The stories told from inside this building seem both
sincere and credible.  Hopefully we can find some form of evidence to
validate this in the near future.  Keep checking back for updates.
Thanks to Robert, Kristy, and the whole Slippery Noodle staff!
